The US drilling rig count is down 2 units to 1,053 rigs working for the week ended Sept. 21, according to Baker Hughes data. The count is up 118 units from the 935 rigs working this time a year ago. The 2 rigs dropped were from those drilling on land. A total of 1,028 rigs were drilling on land for the week. Offshore units and those drilling in inland waters remained unchanged with 20 and 5 units working, respectively.
