A new crude oil pipeline across the Mackinac Straits between Lakes
Michigan and Huron would be more efficient and have fewer potential
environmental impacts than pipeline or rail route alternatives, a draft analysis commissioned by Michigan’s Petroleum Pipelines Task Force suggested.
