The second of two near-field prospects offsetting the SDX Energy Inc. SD-1X discovery north of Cairo, Egypt, is not commercial, the operator said. The well, Kelvin-1X, reached 8,075 TD and encountered 606 net ft of high-quality reservoir in Upper Miocene Abu Madi sands with average porosity of 21%. But gas saturation was low.
