Democrats on the US Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee
questioned whether it was appropriate to hold a Nov. 2 hearing on
possibly allowing oil and gas leasing on the Arctic National Wildlife
Refuge’s Coastal Plain when it was not yet clear why the issue needs to
be considered now.
